Another One! Sokoto State Election Declared Inconclusive

The gubernatorial election held on Saturday, March 9 in Sokoto state has been declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission. This was as a result of the slim margin win which is less than the number of canceled votes in the state. This according to the commission was as a result of the incumbent governor, Aminu Tambuwal polling a total of 489,558 votes, while his opponent, Ahmed Aliyu of the APC polled 486,145. tambuwalThis margin lead with 3,413 votes, was smaller compared to the votes expected from the cancellation in 136 polling units with 75,403 registered voters.
