Another Baby Factory Discovered In Ogun State

The Ogun State Police Command has uncovered a baby factory at Imedu Olori area of Mowe in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
During the raid, 12 ladies between the ages of 20 to 25 years were said to be rescued with six amongst them heavily pregnant. Others who were arrested in connection to the crime were Florence Ogbonna, Chibuke Akabueze and Chibuzor Okafor.
In a statement released by the command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police had been alerted about the baby factory by one of the inmates who escaped from the home. The victim was said to have reported at the Mowe Police Station that she was lured into the baby factory and was held captive for a while.
The victim identified the owner of the home to be Florence Ogbonna, revealing that she usually contract able-bodied men to sleep with the inmates and get them pregnant. The victim added that the babies, after delivery were taken away by Florence and were never seen again.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, had directed that the suspects be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
