Two Roma supporters have been arrested for an attempted murder on a Liverpool fan, who is currently in a critical condition after a heated exchange of words turned to a physical assault following the Champions League semi-final match at Anfield.
The Tuesday night Champions league clash was reportedly marred by violent scenes outside the stadium as the two sets of fans engaged in a free for all fight. The injured Liverpool fan was rumored to be a citizen of Ireland. He is currently being treated for his injuries at Walton Neurological Centre, where his condition has been described as very critical.
