Amuwo Odofin Stakeholders Recall Honourable Mojisola Alli-Macaulay

Mojisola Alli-Macauley, Lawmaker Representing Amuwo Odofin
The Stakeholders of Amuwo Odofin have called for the recall of its representative at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mrs Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, representing its first constituency over her statement about Nigerian youths.
Recall that Mojisola Alli-Macaulay had accused the youths of always being high on drugs which is the reason they took to the streets to’misbehave.’ Her statement led to the uncovering of how she had used the COVID-19 palliatives for her constituency as souvenirs during her last birthday.
In a press statement which surfaced on the social media space, the Amuwo Odofin Stakeholders Consultative Forum names gross misrepresentation of the constituents as one of the reasons for the recall of the lawmaker. “AN OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT TO RECALL MRS. MOJISOLA ALLI MACAULAY THE MEMBER REPRESENTING AMUWO ODOFIN CONSTITUENCY 1 AT THE LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ON HER UNGUIDED STATEMENTS ABOUT NIGERIAN YOUTHS ON TUESDAY 28′ OCTOBER, 2020 LIKEWISE GROSS MISREPRESENTATION OF AMUWO ODOFIN CONSTITUENTS AT THE LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY WHICH HELD ON SATURDAY, 31 ST OCTOBER 2020”, the title of the press statement reads.

“It is more saddening to hear that our representative is joining a band wagon In regulating the social media space for selfish reasons. Nigerian youths are synonymous with the social media and that has been the only available platform lo vent their frustrations and misgivings about government’s irresponsibility. Our representative made attempt to draw comparison with The United Kingdom on mitigating youth unemployment. But unfortunately. she did not mention the several cushioning programs designed by the United Kingdom government to mitigate the challenges resulting from youth unemployment”, part of the statement reads.
