Amira Oron Becomes First Isreali Woman To Be Appointed Ambassador To Egypt

Isreal has just appointed Amira Oron as the Ambassador to Egypt, making the first woman to be given such post in the country.

Amira Oron’s name would go down into history as the first woman to be appointed an Ambassador to Egypt. Amira was appointed the Supreme Appointments Committee of the Foreign Ministry, headed by Director-General Yuval Rotem. she has formerly served as a staff member of the Israeli embassy in Cairo, deputy spokesperson for Israeli Foreign Ministry and also director of the Foreign Ministry’s Department of Communications in the Arab World.
