American Rapper, Huey Is Dead

American Hip Hop star Huey has passed away at the age of 31 after he was shot on Thursday night in the US. The rapper who is famous for his hit single Pop Lock & Drop It” The incident occurred just before 11:00 p.m. in front of a home in the 8100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Mable Avenue in his hometown of Kinloch.

According to police, Huey whose real name is Lawrence Franks arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Police said another victim from the scene of the shooting came to the Ferguson Police Department with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital and treated for his injuries. He is expected to survive. Huey is survived by a 13-year-old daughter who was signed to Jive Records. He released his debut album Notebook Paper in 2007.
