All Eyes And Pressure Is On Anthony Joshua – Andy Ruiz Jr

Andy Ruiz Jr believes he has stunned Anthony Joshua into silence with his shocking win in June.

Six months ago in New York, on his long-awaited US debut, AJ was the bell of the ball, charming everyone with his dazzling smile and talk of an undisputed clash with Deontay Wilder.

Mexico’s last-minute replacement had vastly different ideas and skittled the Watford star all around the Madison Square Garden ring. After recovering from his concussion, the 30-year-old Brit hero wasted no time throwing himself back into training, ditching the corporate deals and adverts and quietly focusing on regaining his titles.

And Ruiz believes the pressure he has applied, both in and out of the ring, is too much for the now brooding Brit to handle. The surprise champ said: “I think the pressure is all on him, the cameras are all pointed at him to see how he will come back and how he is mentally.

“I think there are just too many people saying too many things about him and he is too worried about that. He is more quiet, he looks more serious, we don’t know what he is feeling on the inside, we will find out in the ring.”
