Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan fit to play against Atletico Madrid on Thursday.
The Nigerian forward and his Armenian national team captain both travelled to Spain this afternoon in Arsenal’s squad for their Europa League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid. Arsene Wenger will be hoping that the pair are now available to play in tomorrow’s game, a victory at the Wanda Metropolitano will seal their place in the Europa League final.
Mkhitaryan who scored on his comeback on Sunday against Manchester United came off after taking a blow to his knee, while Iwobi also suffered a hamstring strain during the match.
“I believe it is very good. I am still being assessed but to me it is good and I will be okay,” Iwobi told Sky Sports. “We will have to wait and see but I believe I will be okay and fit.” Mkhitaryan is expected to start in a front three alongside Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil.
