Alaafin Is My Teacher – Queen Aanu Celebrates Monarch

Yoruba adage “ibi ti agbalagba ba wa l’omode ma a ba a”, translated to be “the child is the father of the man” in English is the perfect description of Alaafin of Oyo and his wife Queen Aanu’s case.

Appreciating the monarch, who is 81 and she in her 20s noted that he is not just her lover but her history teacher. Having ha so much experience while she was stiil very young, Queen Aanu has now maritally come up highher to the level of the Alaafin and he, in turn, pours out his wealth of history upon her.
