A four-man gang of assassins have killed Mr. Okon Iyanam, an Akwa Ibom governorship aspirant while partying with his friends in Ogun state on Wednesday.
The Ogun State police command have launched an investigation into the assassination of the former Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Globacom Limited, Okon Iyanam.
The 52-year-old telecommunication expert was killed in his 5-star hotel, Heritage Hotels and Resorts, in Mowe while hosting a party.
According to Punch, Mr Okon was reportedly hosting a birthday party in the hotel when the gang of assassins barged in. The gunmen reportedly demanded to see the owner of the hotel after dispossessing guests and workers in the hotel of their phones. They reportedly shot him in the neck before fleeing from the scene.
