Aisha Abimbola: 5 Very Important Things You Should Know About The Late Actress

Yesterday May 16, 2018, the Nigerian entertainment industry was thrown into mourning upon the announcement of the passing of actress Aisha Abimbola popularly known as Omoge Campus. The Late actress died of breast cancer. Without further ado, here are 6 things you should know about the actress. PERSONAL LIFE: The deceased was a proud mom of two before her death. Abimbola was formerly married to her colleague Victor Ibrahim Musa before the pair ended their union. She was also born a Muslim before she converted to Christianity saying in an interview with New Telegraph that if she had not joined the movie industry, she would have become a pastor.BACKGROUND: Abimbola was born On December 19, in Epe, Lagos Island, Lagos state. She was a graduate of Hotel Management from Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH). ACTING CAREER: Abimbola broke into the movie scene back in school when Wale Adenuga Productions shot a movie in her school. She hit the limelight after she featured in the movie Omoge Campus produced in 2001. Not stopping there, Abimbola went on to feature in other movies to include; Th “No Pain, No Gain, Awerijaye, So Wrong So Right, Kamson and Neighbour to mention a few. She made her debut as a producer with movie T’omi T’eje, which she premiered in Atlanta in 2016. AWARDS: The deceased beat the likes of Faithia Balogun, Dayo Amusa, Mercy Aigbe and Iyabo Ojo to win the City People Entertainment Award for Yoruba Movie Personality of the Year in 2016. CITIZENSHIP: Aisha held a dual citizenship as it emerged a few hours ago that she is a Canadian citizen.
