Ahmed Musa left the Premier League side Leicester City in 2018, for Saudi Arabia on a four-year contract.

Despite having two years left on his running contract, the club announced the departure of the former VVV Venlo star on their Twitter handle with a short video.

No reason was given for the termination of the contract by both parties.

“Thank you Nigerian falcon, wishing you all the best in the future! @Ahmedmusa718,” the club said on their Twitter page.

Musa has been linked with a move to Turkish club Fenerbache this summer despite a below-par campaign with Al Nassr.

The former Kano Pillars forward failed to find the back of the net in 17 league appearances this season and also watched as the Riyadh club lost the championship to bitter rivals Al Hilal.

In his two years stint at the club, the Eagles captain won the 2019 Saudi Arabia League and scored seven goals in 24 appearances that season.
