The Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN has partnered with a Health Insurance Organisation Medicard to bring an end to actors begging the public for help on medical bills and health challenges.
Recall that Joke Silver had led the insurance health scheme team under the leadership of Guild President Emeka Rollas into launching the policy last Monday, available for both members and non-members of the guild.
The benefits the actors will enjoy from the scheme are; Access to over 600 hospitals (drugs and treatments inclusive), Group life insurance cover, Kidney transplant abroad, Discount purchase at meat and chicken stores, Free car service and maintained discount access to cinemas and Free car insurance renewal. The scheme,however come with various plans and activation fee, which are as follows; Medicard AGN Basic Plan 1,850.00, Medicard AGN Standard Plan 7,295.00; Medicard AGN Premium Plan 10,868.00; Medicard Basic Family Plan (father, mother, 3 children) 6,600.00. A minimum of six months advance payment for the chosen plan however, is pertinent.
