“African Music Rising” – Wizkid Celebrates Black Coffee And Angelique Kidjo On Their Grammy Win

Nigerian music superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has finally broken silence after losing two awards at the recently held 64th Grammys.

The Starboy Entertainment CEO, in a post on his Instagram story on Tuesday, April 5, celebrated South African Disc Jockey, Black Coffee and Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo, who both won Grammy awards on Sunday night.

Wizkid was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category but he lost the award to Kidjo. He applauded the two Grammy award-winners on their achievement, and for shining light to the continent of Africa. Wizkid wrote

“Love to my brother a true king @realblackcoffee and Queen @AngeliqueKidjo for the wins and for consistently shining light to the continent. African music rising” .
