In one of the most daring criminal moves in Nigeria’s History, a group of Unknown gunmen has kidnapped an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adeniyi and three members of his family. The gunmen are reportedly demanding N30m ransom in return for the abduction that took place on Wednesday along Birnin-Gwari-Funtua road in Kaduna state.
Emmanuel Adeniyi is a serving Assistant Commissioner of police in Zamfara state capital (Gusau). A close relation of the ACP told channels television that ” Emmanuel and three members of his family were traveling in an Hilux van when they ran into the gunmen who whisked them away in another vehicle.”
An anonymous police officer who happened to be on the same road at that time was also abducted with the Adeniyis. The Kaduna State police command and the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters is yet to confirm the incident.
