Arsene Wenger’s men are set to take on Gennaro Gattuso’s rejuvenated AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16.
The Gunners needed an aggregate scoreline to sieve their way past Ostersunds in the round of 32 fixture list that ended yesterday. Milan, on the other hand, breezed their way past Ludogorets in both legs of the round of 32 fixture.
Though the current AC Milan squad is a distant shadow of the classic team that dumped Arsenal out of the champions league in 2012, Arsenal’s poor run in almost all competitions will be an edge to the Italian team, as they are fast paving their way towards a triumphant return to the dominant fear they used to command.
