A joint team of Nigerian Police and the Nigerian Army has arrested some armed robbers who attempted to rob one of the branches of First Bank in Mpape, Abuja after trapping them in the bank.
The robbers were said to have stormed the bank, shooting sporadically into the air to scare people away. Shortly after gaining access, however, the police and army arrived at the scene but the robbers had refused to come out of the bank.
According to reports, one of the robbers tried to force his way out and was shot but remained indoor with the gunshot injury.

The security agents made efforts to break into the bank and end the siege which they succeeded and got the robbers arrested.
