Abike Dabiri-Erewa Slams APC For Shutting Out Women of Edo Primary Committee

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has come out to slam the composition of the primary election panel of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state. The head of the diaspora committee took to her Twitter page to condemn the party for setting up a 7 man committee without  a female.

In a tweet on Sunday, the APC chapter of Edo announced the arrival of the seven-man committee. “Members of the Edo State Primary Election Committee led by Hope Uzodimma have arrived Benin City ahead of tomorrow’s exercise.”

In reaction, Dabiri-Erewa expressed surprise over the non-inclusion of a woman on the committee. “Na wa o. APC. Not a single woman ? Haba !!!” she tweeted. The former house of rep member explained that it is disgraceful that no woman was part of the committee in a time where inclusion is what the society is fighting for.
