‘A Team Can Lose Matches But Never, Ever Its Dignity’ – Mourinho Issues Rallying Call To Manchester United Players And Fans

Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has used his programme notes to issue a rallying call to his Manchester United players ahead of their Champions League clash with Valencia. After Saturday’s dismal showing at West Ham – which ended in a 3-1 defeat – Mourinho will be desperate to get the supporters back on side amid reports he has lost the dressing room and is on the brink of being relieved of his duties. The beleaguered United boss has insisted his players must never lose their ‘dignity’ in his column. ‘All my life I have followed certain golden rules. A team can lose matches but never, ever its dignity,’ wrote the Portuguese boss.‘It must fight, work, compete, win duels, be humble. At end of every game players must be exhausted because of hard work for club, fans and each other.’Photo Credit: Getty
