It’s been 15 years since Kim Kardashian first made a guest appearance on Paris Hilton’s reality TV show but it’s safe to say since Kim’s fame has eclipsed the hotel heiress their friendship has taken a rocky turn.
But the pair’s friendship is now back on track and Paris has admitted it’s been ‘really nice’ spending time with her old friend.
The pair became friends after Kim worked as a stylist for Paris and appeared on her reality show The Simple Life long before she became a star in her own right on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. However, their friendship waned at one point with Kim claiming she had worked for her fame – unlike Paris, who is just a girl who ‘carries a dog around in her purse’ all day.
But the reality star and DJ, who are both 38, have been spending an increased amount of time together lately, with Paris attending many of Kim’s family’s parties, including her half-sister Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Travis Scott’s birthday bash last month.
Paris told People.com: ‘I’ve known her my whole life and we’ve been having so much fun together lately. We had a good time at Kourtney’s birthday party and then had fun at Travis’s birthday party. It’s been really nice.’ And Paris believes people ‘underestimate’ Kim, who is a mother-of-four, a businesswoman, a multi-millionaire and is currently studying to become a lawyer.
‘She’s always been such a brilliant person. She’s always been so organised, she’s always cared about others, and I could see her being a brilliant lawyer, for sure,’ she said. She added: ‘She’s already … not even a lawyer yet, and she’s already helped release people from prison and made a difference to people’s lives, so I think she’s really passionate about it and I really applaud her for doing that. It takes a lot of work, it’s really brave, and I think a lot of people underestimate her.’
