A small American town located in Northern Kentucky has elected French Bulldog named Wilbur Beast as its mayor.
Wilbur who is a French bulldog breed won his election by a landslide in the town’s mayoral election of Rabbit Hash with over 13,143 votes, the highest ever win recorded in the town’s history.
Wilbur unseated incumbent Brynneth Paltrow, a rescued pit bull mix after winning the canine election. 
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, there were 22,985 votes cast, the highest ever for the town.
The city’s historical society holds a dog election every three years.
