This current generation of music lovers are bolder and wiser. They pay attention to details in songs, not just the beat but they are able to notice when a song is wack or wonderful. We will be looking at three of our fav albums rocking 2020; MIL, TAT and ABT.

Wizkid – ‘Made In Lagos’
Wizkid in his album ‘Made In Lagos’ was able to satisfy that curiosity people had on what he had been up to. We now see him in his own element, comfortable. Its like the album ‘Made in Lagos’ is an insight into the journey of the Starboy growing and become a father, better songwriter, and a man embracing his element.
On songs like ‘Smile‘ we see a father, on ‘Essence’ we see a man seamlessly blending with his art and featuring Tems on that song was definitely the right thing to do, to mention a few. The Starboy got it right on those featured on ‘MIL‘.
Burna Boy – ‘Twice As Tall’
Coming to the African Giant himself Burna Boy, his album ‘Twice as Tall‘ is a confirmation of a reborn and stronger Burna. We can see that he has to come to terms with not winning the Grammy the last time and brought a banger to silence everyone.
With the album screaming ‘Nigerian and Africanism’ everyone is anticipating a Grammy for this album because it will not just be a win for Burna Boy but Nigeria and Africa herself. In a few words its an album that screams HOME with a banger. He sure deserves the accolades.
Davido – ‘A Better Time’
While we can see the finesse in songwriting, featured artist selection, flow of beat, great delivery, composition in TAT and MIL; ‘A Better time’ is slightly different. The album ‘A Better Time‘ by Davido though a good piece of work, it just seems to be lacking in a couple of the above mentioned and in message. It seems Davido jumped too early or was just not ready to drop an album. His previous album ‘A Good Time’ had a lot of issues and ‘A Better Time’ is following the same part. It still has some of the problem ‘A Good Time’ had.
The funny part is, how can ‘A Good Time’ and ‘A Better Time’ both not meet our expectations even with the ‘good’ and ‘better’ in them, We sure fear for A Best Time, if or when it comes.

We see and feel the growth in Wizkid through ‘MIL’, we see and feel the artistry Burna has brought to the table through TAT, we don’t seem to see or feel anything in particular for ABT, It’s like Davido is still finding himself and he will definitely try the best time this time since a good and better time didn’t work for him.
Numbers of Streams Garnered
MIL, TAT, ABT irrespective of their flaws garnered over 100 million streams within days of their release and some are getting nominations already. These three fantastic musicians are all masters of their own crafts and all bring something unique to the music industry.
