‘A Charge Is Not A Conviction’ – Tory Lanez Breaks Silence On Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Charges

Tory Lanez has broken his silence after it was revealed he has been charged with felony assault in connection with the shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion.


The Canadian musician has been accused of shooting the Savage hitmaker in the foot, though he strongly denied all allegations.

He took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to address his fans over the matter as he wrote: ‘⏰ will ? … and the truth will come to the light … I have all faith in God to show that … love to all my fans and people that have stayed true to me & know my heart.

The singer added: ‘a charge is not a conviction . If you have supported me or meg thru this , I genuinely appreciate u. (sic)’

The LA County DA’s Office has charged Lanez with one felony count each of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.


The 28-year-old also faces a gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.

Lanez was previously arrested and charged with possession of a firearm. The singer now faces up to 22 years in prison if found guilty. His arraignment is scheduled for October 13.

Prosecutors said the alleged incident happened on July 12 when Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion, 25, were in an SUV in the Hollywood Hills. Lanez recently referenced the incident on his new album, where he denied shooting the Savage rapper.
