Police Arrest Man Who Murdered Wife In Niger State

The Niger state police command has arrested a 39-year-old man named Farida Banti for allegedly killing his wife. According to reports, the couple who lived in Hungu village in the Mariga Local Government Area of the state, frequently had issues until Banti murdered his wife with a cutlass during one of their fights. While speaking with newsmen upon his arrest, Banti gave his wife having no manners to be the reason he killed her. He said at a point he had to send her back to her parents before he finally murdered her. “I inflicted deep cuts on my wife, which resulted in her death, because she refused to obey me. In fact, it was extreme provocation that made me kill my wife. Women must learn to obey their husbands so that what happened to my wife will not happen to them.” he said. The suspect will be charged to court soon.  Photo Credit: Getty
