This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwaze, who shared photos from the meeting.
The reason for the meeting remain sketchy.
According to Nwaze Facebook post, “Presidential hopeful and Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, FNSE, FNATE meets Alh. Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja on Friday, March 11, 2022.”
Recall that the Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, sacked Umahi, his deputy, Kelechi Igwe, along with 15 lawmakers in the state over their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
Tinubu and Umahi are among the APC members who will jostle to emerge as the Party’s flagbearer in the 2023 Presidential election. The latter had declared his intention to run days after Tinubu’s visit to Buhari also to communicate his intention to run for the country’s top seat.
