Singer Rihanna Named As National Hero Of Barbados
Singer Rihanna proves over again that she is more than a singer, a business mogul but a very proud citizen of her country with the goodwill and charity she does to improve the standard of living of her people.
The announcement was done today as a part of the celebrations surrounding Barbados becoming a republic, with president-elect Sandra Mason set to become head of state after the country announced last year it would abolish its ties to the monarchy.

Barbados declared the hit singer a national hero at its republican celebrations in her hometown of Bridgetown. The country’s prime minister, Mia Mottley, said, ‘On behalf of a grateful nation, but an even prouder people, we, therefore, present to you, the designee, for a national hero of Barbados, ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty may you continue to shine like a diamond.’ “May you continue to shine like a diamond and bring honour to your nation by your works, by your actions.
