KOKOnista Of The Day: Bianca Saunders Is The British Designer Changing Menswear And Celebrating Black Culture

Twenty-eight-year-old Bianca Saunders may only have graduated from the Royal College Of Art in 2017, and she may only have made her London Fashion Week Men’s debut in June 2018, but she has already made her mark as one of the most exciting names in British fashion. Saunders is paving the way for a whole new generation of menswear designers.

What’s more, Saunders’ collections are boundary breaking in and of themselves. With a gender-bending aesthetic, the young designer placed male models in ultra-feminine yet totally wearable ’fits – think sheer, figure-hugging T-shirts, side-split trousers, sexy, clingy silk shirts and ruched, ruffled and cropped tops.

The Catford-born designer also uses her label to celebrate black culture and to promote equality. Saunders has collaborated with a number of black creatives.
