The couple tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London, unlike Meghan Markle and Prince Harry who tied the knot in St. George’s chapel in Windsor last year.

Kensington Palace celebrated their special day with a heartwarming post to mark the occasion. They shared a string of pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding day on their official Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The post read: ‘8 years ago today – thank you for your lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary!’

Fans of the royal couple – who have sons Prince George and Prince Louis, as well as Princess Charlotte together – have flocked to social media to send their well wishes.
