New Coronavirus: Kano State Government Fumigates Public Places1

The Kano state government has announced plans to fumigate public places like the markets, parks and other spaces used for public gathering following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.

This is the governments way of  ensuring that the state is staying alert and protecting it inhabitants against the deadly virus. The governor of the state Umar Ganduje said the safety of the people in Kano state is what’s most important to him.

 “All vehicular and other kinds of movements into or going out of the state are banned. People coming to through the  Domestic Wing of Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) will remain at the airport as they will not be allowed to enter into the city”.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reiterates that, “this decision is hard, but absolutely necessary, as part of precautionary measures against possible spread of the deadly COVID-19. We urge Kano citizens and all other Nigerians to bear with this difficult situation.”
