In the past year, Nigerian Idol became one of Nigeria’s most popular programs. From the contestants like Kingdom and Francis to the judges, Seyi Shay, DJ Sose, and Obi Asika, there was a lot to talk about on the show. Everything went well and it turned out to be a remarkable season.

Viewers were shocked when it was revealed that two out of three judges were not going to be returning for this year’s edition of the show. Singer Seyi Shay and disc jockey DJ Sose were axed from the show, and were replaced by D’Banj and Simi.
DJ Sose has now revealed in an interview the major reason why he was excluded from this year’s edition.
He said, “I did my part (laughs) I did my part. It was finished. Obviously the contract was for one year. So it came and went and they said they want to take the show to the next level. No bad blood. Everyone’s moved on. Everything is cool. Good luck to everyone else on the show. We’ll see what happens.”
