Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB have launched a protest at the Federal High Court, Abuja as the trial of their leader was stalled, demanding the release of their leader.
The protest began after Justice Binta Nyako adjourned hearing of Nnadmi Kanu’s trial after the DSS failed to produce him in court. Recall that Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, had asked IPOB members and other supporters of the secessionist to attend the his trial in Abuja on Monday, saying it is not a secret affair.IPOB Members Protest In Abuja, Demand Nnamdi Kanu's ReleaseHowever, when the DSS failed to produce Nnamdi Kanu at the hearing today, his supporters began protesting in front of the federal high court, demanding to know what was wrong with their leader. The Department of State Services, however, reportedly arrested some of the proscribed group’s members at the court premises.
Reportedly speaking with TheCable, Onyekachukwu, one of the protesters, said they are demanding the release of their leader who was, according to him, abducted from Kenya. “We are here because of our leader, to know what is going on. We are not here to fight anybody, what we want is that they should free our leader so he can go on with his normal life like any other person”, he reportedly said.IPOB Members Protest In Abuja, Demand Nnamdi Kanu's ReleaseIPOB Members Protest In Abuja, Demand Nnamdi Kanu's ReleaseTRENDING VIDEO OF THE DAY: I Will Like To See Bobrisky Naked – Cossy Orjiakor
