Nollywood actress Laide Bakare is one of those women who thinks their marriage is not worth their career and at such will always pick their careers over their husbands.
In a recent interview with the Nine lives, the actress noted that no reasonable man will want his wife to quit her career. According to her, she has worked so much to get to where she is in her chosen field and cannot afford to leave it just like that.
She noted that though she has other businesses and means of making money, movie making is still the overall and primary for her, and any other thing comes secondary. She added that she has been Laide Bakare since she was 16 and will not let anything jeopardise that.

“I don’t think any reasonable man would want his wife to quit her career. Definitely no, I wont adhere to that. I will choose my career. It’s because I have worked for it. I have been making money before and after, through my job. I have other side businesses but the mother of them all is movie-making. So, any other thing that comes out of it is just secondary. I wouldn’t jeopardize what made me, because I have been Laide Bakare since age 16. So, I don’t think it is something I would want to drop“, she said.
