Veteran musician and son of legendary singer and activist Fela, Femi Kuti has come out to celebrate his father’s posthumous birthday today.
Femi Kuti took to the gram where he expressed his love for his father and also stated that he is missed much. Remember Fela was the pioneer of afrobeats in Nigeria and a lot musicians today follow the musical path and foundation he laid for them.

To date, Fela is one musician whose songs are still evergreen. A lot of singers have adapted verses from his song and just recently another of his son, Seun Kuti stated that anyone that steals the verses and lyrics of Fela cannot be greater than him.

Today the 15th of October, Fela would have turned 83, if he were alive. Taking to the geram, Femi Kuti wrote, HPBD to our father FELA. Wow 24 years gone and we still miss you so much.. We love you. Fela died in August 1997.
