Following former vice-president Atiku Abubakar‘s nomination as presidential candidate for the People Democratic Party, the question on most lips was whether the businessman-turned politician has any pending criminal issues with the United States of America.
It has now been confirmed, from media sources from the American Embassy in London that the United States Department of Justice does not have any records of ongoing ‘LIVE’ criminal lawsuit against Atiku Abubakar in the US.
The Battersea-based media source said: “Public court records does not show any ‘LIVE’ case(s) filed against any Nigerian by the name of Atiku Abubakar.” On if the PDP presidential flag bearer has been banned from entering America our source said, “Visa issues are confidential under section 222(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, you will need to contact US Customs and Border Protection for more details on that.”
