A day after the tribal clash at Mile 12 international foodstuff market, another clash has broken out at Ogba between men of the Area G Police Station and commercial motorcycle riders.
An eyewitness was reported to give an account of what led to the clash, saying it began on Thursday when a police officer refused to pay for the service rendered to him by an Okada operator. When the Okada operator insisted on collecting a fee for the ride, the yet-to-be-identified policeman shot him.
Nigerian tweeps have taken to the social media space to give reports of the happening, sharing pictures and videos, the latter from which gunshots could be heard. While some are asking others to avoid the area and stay safe, some other tweeps shared how they escaped the scenario.
