The Nigerian music industry has grown over the years and is producing more talent as the day goes by. The Grammy award is that award that all musicians desire to win at one point in their career and people like Sada Adu, King Sunny Ade, Seal and others have been a recipient of this award at different times.

Even afro-beats singer Burna Boy bagged his first Grammy back in 2020 proving that it s not only the older generation that can attain this height. Since Burna Boy, the ball has been set rolling and there are a lot of young talents who have shown potential not just with their music but also judging from their international audience and how they have received their songs. So below is a list of Nigerian singers that can win the Grammy within the next 5 years if they maintain the pace and quality of music they are dishing out;
Tems
The afro-beats alte R&B singer has managed to carve a niche for herself since her advent into the Nigerian music scene. The success of her 2019 single Try Me saw her emerge into a big name in the music industry and to date she is doing justice musically. She currently has a Grammy nomination at the 64th Grammy for the song Essence on which she was featured by Wizkid. The song was nominated for Best Global Music Performance category, and this is her first ever Grammy nomination. If she can be nominated when she only featured, it is only a matter of time before her work is nominated and she brings home her own Grammy.


Buju
This music artist took the Nigerian music scene by storm as he featured in several big hits with big stars and has even gone further to drop his first EP. Buju has sang alongside Fireboy, Wizkid, Timaya etc. and these songs were all hit singles. With the pace he is moving, and how much love he is getting home and abroad, he definitely is Grammy material and its only a matter of time before he brings it home.

Ckay
CKay stole the hearts of the ladies with his hit single Love Nwantiti. This song was a Tik-Tok sensation that trended for a very long time having various covers. Just recently, Love Nwantiti was certified Gold in the US having over 500 million views on YouTube. To talk about CKay is to talk about international because his song Love Nwantiti is definitely an international hit single. He has been active since 2017, but releasing Love Nwantiti in 2019 and doing a remix in 2020 shot him off the roof. CKay has achieved in two years what took some artists more than 5 years to achieve. It would come as no surprise of he wins the Grammy soon because he has the songs and potential.

Kiss Daniel has been around for close to a decade now and he is the proper definition of the saying, every song is a hit back to back. He just has a way of stealing into your heart and making you hum his songs and nod to his beats. While a lot of people who started the race with him have dropped along the line, the Woju singer continues to press on and break boundaries. He is surely Grammy material.
Fireboy

It is beyond doubt that this boy definitely has fire in him. The rate at which he has risen and managed to stand out is just amazing. The recent remix of his song Peru with Ed Sheeran has put him once again on the global map. He is one singer who has the potential to take the Nigerian music industry to the next level as he even grabbed four awards at the 14th edition of the Headies. Fireboy will win a Grammy within the next 5 years, no cap.


Teni
Teni Makanaki is just a game changer, her style of delivery forever sets her apart in the music industry. She changes the narrative with her songs and her hit single that shot her into limelight Uyo Meyo is still a fav of many. Climbing many charts and breaking several records, Teni is surely in her way to winning a Grammy in the next 5 years.


Omah Lay
This Port-Harcourt boy has gone beyond the shores of the Nigerian music industry as he keeps climbing the success ladder. Achieving a feat that not many of his pears have achieved in their music career, his EP Get Layd was amongst the most streamed albums alongside Grammy award winning album Twice as Tall. With how much love he is getting from international audience, he is bound to bring home a Grammy very soon.


Rema
This young star is just breath taking. His energy and pace is commendable when it comes to his music. Rema can be said to be leading the next generation of pop in Nigeria. His music cuts across several continents and he is still breaking records. At the rate he is going, he has potentials to bring home a Grammy with his amazing songs.
