Minister of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo has exposed the National Assembly’s plan in controlling and monitoring the 774,000 jobs the FG says it will provide Nigerians.
In a video of him speaking to the press, Festus Keyamo who had earlier noted that he won’t bow to any politicians over the employment programme, noted that the House had pressurised him to first bring the Committee’s list to them for perusal before final selection and decision is made about who and who will be on the list.
Recall that MC Oluomo, Tinubu’s Daughter And APC Woman Leader were appointed alongside 18 others into the 20-member committee that will supervise the employment of 1000 persons per Local government area that would be engaged by the Federal Government in the Special Public Works Programme.

In the video, Keyamo noted that the House had laid allegations against him publicly that he shouted and used foul words when he met with the joint committee of the National Assembly on Employment and Labour but expect that they call him into the corner of the House of have it settled, which he would not take. He then alleged that the lawmakers are trying to hijack the job slots, despite the fact that they have 15 per cent of the total slots (116,100 of the 774,000 jobs) already allocated to them.
