Travel Tips: 7 Things To Know When Preparing For An Overnight Flight

Plane tickets purchased? Check. Hotel room booked? Check. Rental car reserved? Check. While completing the travel trifecta of plane-hotel-car bookings and the last part for some people on a long journey flight would be to be on an overnight flight.

Ok, you’ve all that sort out but your planning is actually just the beginning with a litany of tasks to check off before your flight. Sometimes It’s enough to overshadow the excitement of air travel, but, with our help, it doesn’t have to.

Here below are 7 to you need to know about when planning for an Overnight flight;

  1. Bring an extra personal bottle of water;

    Bring along a water bottle that you could probably have filled up at the airport, and you can then have the flight attendants to refill it during the flight. It’s not nice too always have to wait for the periodic drink service when you’re thirsty.”

  2. Come Along with your sleep kit: Headband with built-in headphones that are flat enough to sleep on—for listening to soothing white noise, a contoured sleep mask, and a mild sleeping pill or antihistamine. 3. Wear really really Comfortable shoes:

If you take your shoes off overnight, your feet swell up and you can’t get back into them. And not everyone loves padding around an airplane in slippers or socks. So get a pair of shoes that you would be comfortable in and can leave on all night. A personal choice  would be a pair of really soft leather loafers or Vans-type slip-on sneakers.”

4. Bring along an IPad or Music Gadget:

Load up your Ipad with music, games, and books you could read and play with while onboard,  and download loads of series or movies you could watch also during your overnight flight.

5. Bring Along Sleeping Aids: 

“On overnight flights, melatonin is my best friend. It’s a natural sleep agent that makes me groggy enough to snooze but without the threat of a sleeping pill hangover when you need to get up.”

6. Bring yourself some Baby Wipes too:

“Baby wipes are good for a million things, including cooling down, taking off make-up, cleaning up little messes, and freshening up.

7. Foods & Snacks: 

Do I need to say much hear, I don’t think so all have got to say is bring Snacks, snacks…and more snacks!”
