64th Grammys: Wizkid Loses Grammys Award To Angelique Kidjo

Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid is one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeat musical exploit loses the Global Music Grammy Award to veteran Beninoise-French singer Angelique Kidjo as she wins her record 9th Grammy Award.

Wizkid who was nominated in the same Global music album award category along with Rocky Dawuni – Voice of Bunbon Vol.1, Daniel Ho & Friends – East West Players Presents: Daniel Ho & Friends Live in Concert,  Femi Kuti, Made Kuti – Legacy +, and finally evergreen music monster, Angélique Kidjo – Mother Nature who goes home with the Grammys gong for best global music album.

Wizzy lost both Grammy awards categories he was nominated in, he lost to Arooj Aftab for the best global music performance.
