Everton Pay ‘Disappointed’ Sam Allardyce £6million Severance Pay After Six Months In Charge

Sam Allardyce feels disappointed at sacking as Everton manager after nearly six months in charge.

The 63-year-old was fired despite leading Everton to finish eighth with 49 points on the 2017/18 English Premier League standings. Everton were 13th when Allardyce arrived the club in November 2017 following the sacking of Ronald Koeman. “I’m surprised how it came about. It seemed to be done and dusted through the media before I met Farhad (Moshiri),” Allardyce told talkSPORT radio on how he felt after his sacking made it to the media before he had received official confirmation.“I think it was out there in the open for a couple of days. That leaves you with the certainty of what was going to happen. It was slightly disappointing. Who was involved in that I couldn’t tell you, but something as delicate as that is something you want to be confidential.” Allardyce previously managed England national team, and EPL clubs including Bolton, Newcastle, Sunderland and Crystal Palace.Former Watford and Hull City manager Marco Silva is the in line to take over at the Goodison Park. Photo Credit: Getty
