5 Common Sicknesses Faced During Pregnancy

Pregnancy as we all know is the time during which one or more offspring develops inside a woman. During this period the pregnant woman may likely face some sicknesses and below are the 5 most common ones.
1. Nausea

The most common sickness a woman may face during pregnancy is morning sickness better known as nausea. This is often perceived as an urge to vomit and it happens in the first three months of pregnancy.
2. Fatigue

In the first trimester, blood volume and other fluids increases as the body adjusts to pregnancy and this will likely make the pregnant woman feel some tiredness because the body will also work overtime to provide a nourishing environment for the foetus.
3. Indigestion

This is caused by pressure on the intestines and stomach; one way to prevent this is taking smaller meals throughout the day. It is also advisable to avoid lying down shortly after taking a meal.
4. Constipation

Constipation occurs during pregnancy as a result of increase in the hormone progesterone, which relaxes smooth muscles throughout the body, including the digestive tract.
5. Dizziness

Another sickness a pregnant woman is likely to have is dizziness and it can be caused by four things including low blood pressure, low blood sugar, low iron and dehydration.
