3rd Mainland Bridge: Lagos State To Close Oworonshoki Lane On Saturday

Lagos State has announced the plans to close the Oworonshoki bound lane of the Third Mainland Bridge by midnight on Saturday, 6th February.
This was made known in a statement on Wednesday by the Ministry of Transportation in a series of tweets, adding that the closure is a total one to vehicular movement.Third Mainland Bridge
According to the Ministry, the closure is vital to enable the contractor move their equipment to the Oworonshoki bound lane within the given period without any interruption by vehicular movement on the bridge. The statement added that the closure will last till 7p.m on Sunday, 7th February 2021 for removal of the last expansion joint on the Oworonshoki bound lane.

Motorists from Ogudu, Alapere and Gbagada are advised to use Ikorodu Road,Jibowu and Yaba as alternative routes,while Iyana Oworosoki-bound traffic from Lagos Island, Iddo, Oyingbo, Adekunle and Yaba should use Herbert Macaulay Way, Jibowu and Ikorodu Road as alternative routes.Photos Credit: Getty
