2017 is proving to be the year Nigerians are making history the most across the globe. From getting honorary degrees to winning international prizes, the year 2017 will surely go down in Nigerian history as epic. 
Most recently, Nigerian actress and producer, Omoni Oboli was announced as one of the five female ambassadors for the Toronto International Film Festival campaign. The campaign which is themed ‘Share Her Journey’ and is a TIFF initiative meant to ‘Champion female storytellers.’
According to TIFF, it has a five-year commitment to increasing participation, skills, and opportunities for women behind and in front of the camera as well as prioritising gender parity with a focus on mentorship, skills development, media literacy, and activity for young people.
