Hundreds of people have stripped down and descended on the UK’s biggest naturist event this week – complete with fire walking, a silent disco and yoga.

Attendees are baring all until July 15 as they will also have the chance to do a 10K run and go clay pigeon shooting at Thorney Lakes Caravan and Camping Park in Somerset.

Nudefest 2019 has been clothes free since Monday and the camp officially opened on Tuesday, giving early birds a chance to catch up and get settled in their stark naked environment.

Naturists were seen enjoying the sunshine either by laying out, cycling or taking a stroll through the field.

The site – which is an hour’s drive from Bristol – has two camping areas and a main hub where activities take place.

The organisers say “everyone is encouraged to sit and chat creating a friendly village like atmosphere to encourage the community spirit and help people, perhaps new to naturism, relax and make friends”.

There is a marquee that is well-stocked with locally produced ales, cider and lager – giving the 500 festival-goers a chance to quench their thirst. For those looking for a more quieter retreat is a silent lounge.

The festival in its fourth year, but their pop-up Garden Stage is in its second year – it will host “show and tell” sessions, workshops and storytelling.

The week-long festival is organised by British Naturism and sponsored by Bare Necessities Travel.
