Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan has finally come out to debunk earlier reports that claimed that he had defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the National ruling party the, All Progressive Congress (APC).
On Wednesday, a report had gone viral on Social media that the former President had indicated interest to dump the PDP to join the national ruling party.

The report fuelled rumours that the former leader may have plans of running for the highest political seat in the country on the platform of the All Progressive Congress come 2023. However, the news has been confirmed as false and fake.
According to the former President’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, he described the report as nothing but ‘Fake News’.
“The report is Fake News, if he defects it would be announced through the proper channels”.

Eze maintained that his boss has not moved nor is he considering dumping the national opposition party for the national ruling party. Eze rather said, “this is a man that’s very busy with other things”.
