2022 Grammy Awards Rescheduled To April

Recording Academy has announced that the 2022 Grammy Awards has been rescheduled for April 2, 2022, after initial postponement. 2022 Grammy Award

Chief Executive Officer of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason, made this known in a statement on Tuesday. He also revealed that the event which was usually held in Los Angeles will take place in Las Vegas for the first time.

The statement read, “I’m so pleased to let you know that the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards have been rescheduled and will now be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday.

“We are excited to take the GRAMMYs to Las Vegas for the very first time and to put on a world-class show. From the moment we announced the postponement of the original show date, we have been inundated with heartfelt messages of support and solidarity from the artist community.

“We are humbled by their generosity and grateful for their unwavering commitment to the GRAMMY Awards and the Academy’s mission.”

GrammysThe event which was formerly slated to hold on January 31st was postponed due to the risks surrounding the new, highly transmissible, COVID-19 variant, Omicron.

As earlier revealed, South African comedian, Trevor Noah, who hosted the 63rd edition of the event will play Master of Ceremonies for the second time at the event.
