A Lagos state Legislator, Yinka Ogundimu, has urged Super Eagles coach, Grenot Rohr, to explore the sea of home-based and international Nigerian footballers for fresh talents as He prepares the Super Eagles for next-year’s World cup tournament.
Ogundimu appealed to the top coach after highlighting to wasteful attributes of the Super Eagles attacking trio in their last qualifying game against Zambia. He said “We need to do more in getting perfect and clinical attackers because we lost many opportunities in our last match against Zambia. we had difficulty converting those opportunities to goals, if not for the introduction of Alex Iwobi which gave us the lone goal that made the Eagles fly”.
After qualifying for the global tournament with a game-in-hand, the Super Eagles will take on the desert warriors of Algeria for the final qualifying match on the 10th of November
