A 14-year-old Kenyan boy Isaiah Wanjala will reportedly be selling his kidney in order to fund his secondary school education.
Isaiah revealed his readiness after he had gotten admitted to Chewoiyet Boys High School after scoring 394 in 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examinations but has been unable to raise Sh50,000, LIB reports.
According to him, his aged parents are not in a position to raise the fees as well as provide the basic needs for his younger siblings. Being the 5th child in a family with nine children, Isaiah noted that he is ready to sell one of his kidneys as long as it will raise enough money to take care of his high school and university education. His parents, while expressing their worry about his decision, disclosed that they had tried convincing him against it. They then appealed to kind-hearted citizens to come to their aide. “As a family, we are worried by his decision. We have tried to persuade him otherwise but he is adamant and determined to join his dream school”, the father reportedly said.
