An 11-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by 6 men in Raijot, western India, has given birth. the child reportedly gave birth to a baby girl via cesarean section. According to the police in India, the child was raped by the men who lured her with a cleaning job offer at their homes. NDTV has now confirmed that the newborn is in an intensive unit due to health issues that arose after she was born. It has also been reported that the police are now questioning five men and a teenager over the rapes after the child’s mother registered her complaint at the station. The men’s names have been given as Nanji Javiya, 67, and Arvind Kubawat, 52, Vijanand Maiyad, 47, Vipul Chavda, 40, and Govind Sakariya, 60, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named. 
A police official speaking on the issue stated; ‘The victim’s condition is stable. The newborn baby had some health problems and has been admitted to a government-run children’s hospital. Her mother, who comes from a poor family, filed a complaint after it became clear that her daughter was pregnant. “The girl’s father is unemployed due to ill health and her mother works as a maid. “She was lured by them with the offer of money. The matter came to light after she was found to be eight months pregnant. Initially, the girl concealed the incident from her family members, but eventually told her mother.” Photo Credit: Getty
