Boko Haram: We Need 100,000 More Soldiers To Conquer Terrorists – Borno Governor

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has cried out that the Nigerian military needs about a 100,00 more soldiers to combat the Boko Haram insurgents terrorising the state and its environs.
Professor Zulum noted this while hosting the House of Representatives’ Committee on Defence led by its chairman, Hon. Babajimi Benson at his place yesterday. He noted that the military does not have the manpower to defeat the dreaded Boko Haram sect unless it recruits at least 100,000 more soldiers.Boko Haram: We Need 100,000 More Soldiers To Conquer Terrorists - Borno Governor
He added that at least 50,000 of the new recruits must locales and indigenes of the terrorised Borno whether they have the required western education or not.

Take my words, they (the military) don’t have the manpower, they don’t have the equipment. Kindly advise the Speaker and the Senate President to tell Mr President to approve the massive recruitment of soldiers. We need about 100,000 more to be recruited into the Nigerian Army. They should come and employ the locals whether they have western education or not.
